The world is changing rapidly, and the agricultural sector will need to shift toward more sustainable forms of production to remain viable over the long term. Enabling this shift is crucial for a sector that underpins human well-being by remaining the main source of global food security.
Key water security issues are broken down into three main categories: water quality, water quantity, and social impacts. In mine water issues, water quality often supersedes quantity, as other industries, particularly agricultural, consume more water.
